Ian Koenig joined LexisNexis assuming the role of Chief Architect in December, 2008. In the role, Ian has global responsibility for Enterprise Architecture, Architecture Governance, Technology Strategy and New Technology Research.

Enterprise Architecture includes: Information architecture, Service Oriented architecture (SOA), Physical Architecture, Business Architecture and Application Architecture.

Prior to Joining LexisNexis, Ian was an Independent Consultant, specializing in helping companies create Enterprise Architecture practices within their own organizations.

Ian Koenig joined Thomson Financial in September 2005, assuming the role of Chief Architect. In that role, Ian had global responsibility for Enterprise Architecture, Technology Strategy and Architecture Governance.

Prior to joining Thomson, Ian was the Chief Architect for Products and Platforms at Reuters, where he worked for 19 years (beginning in 1986). Thomson Financial and Reuters merged in April 2008 to become Thomson Reuters

Throughout his 25+ year career, Ian Koenig has held technical positions of increasing scope and responsibility, beginning his career as a software developer at Reveal Software on Long Island in 1982.

Ian was one of seven people who received the Windows Pioneer Award in 1994, recognizing Ian by the Industry as one of the individuals who significantly contributed to the ultimate success of the Microsoft Operating system. The award was presented by Bill Gates at Spring Comdex in 1994.

Ian received Bachelors degrees in Mathematics and in Biology from the University of Rochester in 1982.
